STRAITS QUAY CHRISTMAS CHARITY BAZAAR on 26th/27th November
This traditional, annual charity event is back in full force this year. Please come forward and volunteer to assist with setting up the bazaar on Saturday morning, helping to sell produce and wares at the tables over the weekend and taking down everything on Sunday night. And by the way, ladies, don't forget that MAN power is always appreciated!
Our tables will include:
BAKE TABLE : All sorts of food donations are required please.
MIKASA CROCKERY : Mikasa and other good quality crockery will be on sale. If you have any to donate, please come forward.
INSTANT PRIZE TOMBOLA : Donation of a variety of prizes are required - anything goes! (Do we need to emphasise that booze is always a great draw?) 5 tickets can be bought for RM10.
Lindy's APPLE CHUTNEY and INA'S BEAUTIFUL KNITTED TOYS will share a table but will need help with sales please.
There will also be an IWA RECEPTION DESK where memberships can be signed up or renewed. For 2023, a Membership subscription will be RM120.
ENTERTAINMENT at the BAZAAR : As usual, entertainment will be provided at the bazaar. If you have any ideas and would like to participate, please email details of the performance to officeiwapenang@gmail.com.
We hope you'll be able to volunteer to support our participation this year and/or provide a donation for one or more tables.
CHRISTMAS IS NEARLY UPON US
After such a long break it's is great to see the choir rapidly growing and singing with great enthusiasm. We have 14 performances booked already for this Christmas season.
The more singers, the better, as this takes pressure off everyone when committing to performances. If you'd like to sing for us, please email for more information.
COFFEE MORNING - 16th November
We're meeting at the IWA Clubhouse at 10.30am and apart from spending time catching up with each other, our main subjects of discussion will be the Straits Quay Charity Bazaar on the 26th and 27th November 2022 and the Christmas Charity Ball on the 16th December 2022.
Tickets for the ball will be available for collection and sale at the coffee morning. Tickets start at RM150 per person for a great night out with the BEST entertainment in Penang!
