I am Australian by birth but have had the good fortune to be a traveller, starting from my teenage years. I yo-yoed back and forth from Australia for many years, spending longer periods of time in Canada, UK and Italy. Many other places hosted me for shorter durations!
For the past 35 years, most of my time has been spent within Asia – Hong Kong (two occasions), Singapore, Thailand, and in 2017 we arrived in Penang under the MM2H programme.
My life has been extremely colourful, my working experiences look like a checkerboard. Among the varied things I have undertaken are as a qualified TEFLA teacher (Cambridge University); a certified Health Coach from INN, Perdue University, New York; Personal Trainer (Australian Institute of Fitness) and a certified Leadership Coach through Robbins University. I was the State Coordinator Queensland for Animals Asia and have been a Rotarian for many years.
I have two daughters and one grandson and step-children with 7 grandchildren between them. We left home and they still all reside in Australia!
I am full of gratitude and appreciation at having the opportunities in this life to experience different cultures and living styles. Although I left my young heart in Italy half a century ago, my mature self acknowledges the rich and colourful culture of Malaysia as my newest treasure.
